“Sanremo to the Sanremo people, we will fight for our city”

Gianni Rolandocandidate for mayor of Sanremo, held his press conference today shortly after that of his political opponent in the city’s runoff, Alessandro Mager. In both meetings, Fulvio Fellegara’s name was often mentioned.

“There has been a lot of talk about an alleged ongoing agreement between Mager and Fellegara. Honestly, I don’t think that Fellegara, who had the pride of uniting the center-left, can now make agreements with Mager. It would be like completely losing his battle and disorienting the voters,” Rolando declared. “What is certain is that voters are already disoriented when they see that Mager’s civic coalition goes to talk to Fellegara. This is heavy, honestly, because it’s one thing to talk to a former mayoral candidate, like I did, without proposing anything, it’s another thing to go and make proposals. Will it be true? I do not know”.

Sanremo to the people of Sanremo? “Absolutely yes. The people of Sanremo must fight for their city, and this is what I will do: I will do it for the hospital, for public water, and for everything I believe in, always in the total interest of the people of Sanremo. I expect the same from the entire city council. It is clear that the mayor must be the first to fight for his city. In the past, it did not happen so markedly, and perhaps this is why we lost many hospital departments, control of Riviera Trasporti, and many other important things in our city. From now on it will no longer be like this. We will fight totally for our city, in synergy with others, all together, throughout the province. The big cities will have to work in synergy to make the province grow, but not to the detriment of Sanremo”, concluded Rolando.
