TRENT. The investment, announced by the Council for the adjustment law, will affect various areas of the provincial health service: there will be an increase in wages for workers in public bodies, but also new infrastructures for Trento Hospital Centre.

The maneuver, illustrated in the press conference by Maurizio Fugatti, amounts to 538 million euros of surplus to which will be added the resources from the tax balances in previous years, the calculation of which is underway. “We have come from two years in which forecasts were contradicted in a positive sense: in 2022 we had forecast growth of 2.7% while the actual figure was 5.4%. In 2023 the growth of 1.3% was greater than the national growth. From this greater growth, due to the many investments, we are entitled to greater resources”, commented Fugatti in this regard.

The main investment concerns the new hospital complex, for which the Council plans to allocate 400 million euros in capital, to which another 300 will be added in debt.

Still on the subject of infrastructure, 140 million are expected to cover the increase in costs of the works already financed, 40 million for the Trento-Bondone cable car, in addition to the 37 million allocated by the State) and 100 million for the Tenna variant, together with minor investments in healthcare buildings, schools and purification plants.

As regards the new contract for public bodies, in addition to 117 million for the closure of the contractual queue, for 2025-27 39 million are expected for the first year, 79 million for the second and 120 for the third. “The ambition is to close the deal in the next few weeks”, specified Fugatti.

Finally, on the subject of Irpef, the Council plans to bring the exemption from the current 25,000 euros to 30,000, with a further investment of 15 million (in addition to the thirty already allocated), for an estimated reduction of around 30 euros in paid envelope for 40,000 families. “Trentino will be able to increase its skills and be attractive, starting from these choices which are part of the public sector and the Trentino system”, concluded Fugatti.
