On the day of the summer solstice, next Friday 21 June, After two years, “VetrinArte” returns, the collective exhibition set up in the streets of the city of Aprilia, inside commercial establishments, with the aim of bringing life to the historic center and light on the varied world of art, of which our territory is rich.
The event, sponsored by the Municipality of Aprilia and created with the collaboration of the Proloco and the Jnana Marga Association, curated by the artist Cristiana Sadocco, sees the participation of 23 artists and as many commercial sites and this year is happily linked to the “Festa della Music and the 20th edition of the Summer Solstice”, organized by the Liberi Cantores APS Association.
The initiative sees the direct involvement of the municipal administration – in the persons of the Councilor for Culture, Elvis Martino, the Councilor for Commerce Carola Latini and the Deputy Mayor Vittorio Marchitti – and of various wineries in the area – Casale del Giglio, Amor Vitae and Emiliano Fini Winemaker – with a view to creating a virtuous circle that allows the city to present itself, in the provincial context and beyond, as a cultural space of attraction.
“VetrinArte was created, in fact, to create an open-air route, a coming and going through the streets of the city, and to forge an alliance between artists and traders. The artists are guests in the shops, which become true art galleries, offering a concrete contribution to the face of the city”, claims Cristiana Sadocco.
“This year’s theme, Sowing Stars, puts community action at its heart. It’s about re-finding the way to make the “stars” sprout, a word that refers to the desires expressed on August nights, to the stars that have always guided man in his continuous wanderings, and which is used by poets to indicate the sky, the infinite. We therefore ask art to help us find the main road again, the road that takes humanity back to traveling towards the Common Good” – says Federica Calandro, who collaborates in the curatorship of the event.
