The flames apparently broke out around 12pm in Viale Europa, inside a warehouse belonging to a sanitary ware business in the municipality of Aversa. The black cloud, many witnesses declare, is also visible from the nearby municipalities of Gricignano, Marcianise and Teverola. The firefighters were on site, working to put out the flames. Meanwhile, the causes of the fire remain to be clarified.

“Dear citizens of Gricignano, I would like to inform you about the serious fire that broke out a short while ago in the area of Viale Europa in Aversa Nord, near a building and plumbing material warehouse. The fire is generating dense black smoke which is currently advancing northwards without hitting Gricignano, but the possibility that the weather conditions favor the fallout of dust in our city cannot be ruled out”.
