This year the Michel de Montaigne Foundation decided to branch out into the theatrical field, giving life to a first series of shows dedicated to the little onesto be held in summer and outdoors, in the garden of Palazzo Buonvisi (Villa Webb, Bagni di Lucca), thanks to the collaboration with the Vicar of Val di Lima.

He will be the protagonist Zarotheater, a theater company founded in 2015 from an idea by the artists Luigi Zanin and Miriam Alda Rovelli – an artistic couple and a couple in life – after over a decade of experience in the world of children’s theatre. There are three scheduled dates, reported below, for a succession of three theatrical performances, built on the basis of fairy tales, literature and popular tales adapted or freely inspired for younger audiences.

The techniques used, depending on the various shows, are: narration, interpretation of characters, gestural dance and use of objects, puppets and puppets. Each performance has its own prerogatives and is different from the others in terms of style and techniques used, but the shows have in common the sharing and transmission of values ​​such as the exploration of one’s origins, memory and lost traditions, the relationship with the ancient, education about the environment, care for things, sincere affection and the importance of simple and true things.

This is the billboard: Saturday 13 July 2024, at 5.30 pm, Gliding through the waves. Sunday 28 July, at 5.30 pm, Cordi and his King. Saturday 24 August, at 5.30 pm, Mr. Magritte’s tree. In case of rain the show will take place inside Palazzo Buonvisi (Villa Webb).
