Get back to Bologna the Pride Revolt: Saturday 6th July the pride parade “Against pinkwashing and government violence”. The self-managed LGBTQIA+ demonstration organized by collectives, associations and activists will start from Piazza XX Settembre at 5 pm (the meeting point is at 3:30 pm) and is scheduled to arrive at Giardini Margherita at 8 pm, after crossing a stretch of via Indipendenza, Irnerio, the avenues and Porta Santo Stefano.
The route is accessible to people with motor disabilities in wheelchairs and by all 7 wagons planned Earplugs and bottles of water will be distributed and a Lis interpreter will be present on stage for the final speeches. You also have a sympathy group, to manage difficult situations, and a harm reduction group.
No to political exploitation
“We have not invited political representatives and we ask that the protagonism is ours, of LGBT people – explains Mylù, of the Laboratorio Smascheramenti collective, among the organizers of the event –. We believe that the space of Let Pride be a political spacewhere especially LGBT people can speak independently. Also because, very often there is a tendency to speak for us and we are at the center of the propaganda of both right-wing parties, who use our lives to exploit them in a xenophobic and racist perspective, and left-wing parties, who also exploit our sexual orientation or our gender identity to appear as progressives, but it is a progressivism that then turns out to be empty and false”.

The organizers have set themselves a very specific goal: to reach 50 thousand and 60 thousand people participating in the procession, like last year. At the center of the demands that the community, associations, activists will bring to the streets are “the attacks that this fascist government has been carrying out for two years against the queer parenting e Trans people’s self-determination“, but as with the other events seen so far, especially in large cities, among the most urgent issues that will be shouted at the procession there will also be “the genocide that Israel is carrying out against the Palestinian people: ‘No pride in genocide’ is the position taken on by Rivolta Pride”, they explain.
But the themes that are part of the political document of Pride are also others: access to work, welfare, income and health of LGBTQIA+ people, and then the repression that the movements are suffering in Bologna and in Italy.
