PISTOIA – The dawn of a new sports season corresponds to the fundamental appointment for planning and designing a new season of the Pistoia Basket City Consortium, which has been busy in recent weeks outlining the activity that will involve all consortium members in the coming months.
Taking stock is the entire board of directors in the figures of president Francesco Giuseppe Cioffi, vice president Paolo Mati and councilor Marco Geri.
This is Cioffi’s thought regarding what awaits the Consortium and all the consortium members shortly: “In the event organized by the Consortium for next week at Agriturismo Le Forri (our consortium member) we will present the new important entries and of weight that will enrich our large family of companies and entrepreneurs. It will also be the time to celebrate the end of the sports season and present everyone with plans for the future. First of all, starting from the idea of a “Pistoia Consortium, The Basket City”, to underline and underline more how the strength of this organization lies primarily in the network of entrepreneurs and enthusiasts that make it up, with a capillarity that embraces the entire province, went beyond the city limits and came to embrace the whole of Tuscany. A network that is strengthened and continues to grow, a sign that the proposals and values that animate the Consortium are reflected in the economic and social fabric”.
Paolo Mati explains what holds together so many local excellences under the roof of the Consortium, in a climate of continuous growth and desire to network: “There are many things that unite us – says the Pistoia entrepreneur and manager, vice president of the Consortium-. First of all, the pleasure of being together, the respect and loyalty between members, the ability to generate synergies and business, and, obviously, the passion for basketball. In recent years, friendships and work opportunities have arisen that go beyond sharing the events and initiatives of the Consortium and which have allowed, when necessary, extraordinary actions to vigorously support Pistoia Basket: by teaming up and working together disposition”.
An open, dynamic Consortium ready to build new bridges and strengthen existing ties is what councilor Marco Geri outlines, opening the doors also to those who want to come and discover what it means to be part of this group of entrepreneurs and professionals: “It is the the right time to solidify one’s presence within the Consortium (what all those who can: are doing!) as well as to join it. I extend the invitation to all those who are interested, this is the time to be part of our network. There are numerous companies present and many that continue to join and we hope it continues to be like this: ours is a message of great unity. We are very cohesive and ready for the new season that awaits us – adds Geri -. As always, we will give our maximum support. Next season will also be a year in which the Consortium, having confirmed its commitment alongside Pistoia Basket, will be the protagonist in the stands of the PalaCarrara and also in all the Serie A arenas, continuing to give life to those relationships and those bonds built over the years, consolidating and fully living the new role of minority shareholder of the red and white club which today sees Ron Rowan’s East Coast Sport Group as the majority shareholder.
“With the sale of the majority shares of Pistoia Basket – clarifies president Cioffi – the Pistoia Basket City Consortium has strengthened its position and reassured its position, with the aim, now more than ever, of increasing its capital capacity and financial: a goal possible thanks to the commitment of entrepreneurs who find that ours is a loyal project, linked to the territory and to the world of sport in an inextricable way”.
Finally, Cioffi looks ahead, underlining what the consortium has done and what the role of the companies united under this banner has been for Pistoia Basket from the dawn of the consortium’s activity until last month.
“Those who were there in past years can fully understand how much we have done and given to the red and white colors thanks to our consortium members. We are proud to have contributed significantly to the path of growth and restructuring, both sporting and economic, which has allowed Pistoia Basket to achieve extraordinary sporting results, including the promotion and sale of the majority of the club to a new foreign investor. Now the nature of the relationship with Pistoia Basket has changed but we will never miss our support, our passion and support. If the Consortium had the majority of the club in the past it was because this was necessary and probably also the only way to keep the basketball movement in Pistoia alive. We are proud of what we have done for the club and proud to have been one of the pillars with our constant and continuous activity over the years.”
