Turin in the Top 3 in Italy for university students – The international ranking
The QS Quacquarelli Symonds ranking has been published, which evaluates 150 study destinations. Various indicators have drawn up the ranking, including student feedback, the quality of universities, economic accessibility, liveability, employment and diversity.
Milan, Rome and Turin are the best Italian student cities according to the QS Quacquarelli Symonds ranking.
But Italy ranks above fiftieth place, far from the top positions.
Globally, London is the best student city, followed by Tokyo and Seoul. Munich rises to fourth place, while Melbourne drops to fifth. In Italy, Milan ranks fiftieth, Rome fifty-fourth and Turin sixty-eighth.
Milan has an excellent placement in the “Employers’ activity” indicatorplacing twenty-fourth globally, and rises to forty-fourth place in the “Ranking” indicator, which reflects the performance of its universities.
The Lombardy capital also has the most heterogeneous student population in Italy, ranking fifty-ninth in this category.
Turin and Rome stand out for economic accessibility, while Milan obtains the worst national result in this area, due to the high costs of housing and the high cost of living. This is why it has less appeal than Rome, which ranked among the top 50 in the world for what concerns economic accessibility.
