The Nursind Salernothrough its secretary general Biagio Tomasco (in the picture), learned of the note, dated 13 June, in which Colser, the company contracting the cleaning service for the territorial structures of the Salerno ASL, communicated the imminent suspension of the service starting from 17 June.
This communication followed two previous significant moments: the communication of 14 March of theASL Salerno and the meeting which took place on the following 23 April at the headquarters of the Salerno local health authority. Furthermore, it is also worth recording the response dated 5 June from Colser to the Salerno Local Health Authority in which the company presumably asked for clarifications regarding the maintenance of routine activities, without receiving a response from the local health authority of Salerno.
“We are extremely worry for the upcoming Suspension from the activity Of cleaning in the territorial structures of the ASL Salerno, which will take place starting todayWednesday 19 June.
This development puts the structural and hygienic maintenance of the structures at risk, with inevitable repercussions on the well-being of users and workers – said Tomasco -. We ask for explicit explanations both from the ASL Salerno, as the client, and from the Colser company, as the concessionaire, to understand what really happened.
We also invite the Power of attorney of the Republic of Salerno and the prefect of Salerno to intervene promptly. In our opinion, we are faced with a possible interruption of public service, breach of contract and caused alarm.
It is essential to identify those responsible for these serious failures. Nursind Salerno will continue to carefully monitor the situation and defend the interests of healthcare workers and users, ensuring that essential services are maintained.the”.
The union led by Tomasco invites all parties involved to urgently resolve this situation to guarantee the continuity of the cleaning services necessary for the correct functioning of the territorial structures of the Salerno ASL.
