safety framework for seaside resorts and urban centres

A SAFE SUMMER
Start of the summer season: Prefect Stelo presides over the
coordination meeting of the police forces for the
strengthening of surveillance services
This morning, the coordination meeting was held in the Government Palace
of the police, chaired by the Prefect Fabrizio Stelo who defined
the direction regarding the strengthening of the territorial garrison of the forces
of the order, with the aim of ensuring greater controls and presence throughout the
provincial territory and in particular on the coast which already see the presence of
substantial flows of tourists.
The reinforcement units foreseen for each component will be added to the
staff already in service.
From 1 July to 1 September the State Police will ensure a control service
reinforced primarily in the territory of Martinsicuro and Alba Adriatica,
adding the 5 reinforcement units to the units already in service at the Police Headquarters
Teramo.
From 1 July to 11 August the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri will employ
5 reinforcement units, and from 12 August to 1 September 2 reinforcement units in the
Giulianova Company and in the Alba Adriatica Company for checks on
the entire coast, committing itself to ensuring in any case, after that date, a
intensification of checks by the staff working at the stations with
expertise on the coastal strip.
The 7 additional units of the Guardia di Finanza, however, will be divided as follows
the different Companies and Tenencies: 2 units in Giulianova, 2 units in Roseto, 2 units in
Teramo and 1 unit in Nereto, from 2 to 16 August. In addition the General Command
of the Guardia di Finanza has foreseen the redeployment of 1 naval unit (lookout
coastal) to be used in the locality of Giulianova in the periods from June to
September.

maximum security framework, so as to allow citizens to experience a summer of 2024 in
full serenity.”
