The music of Emanuele Scandaliato orchestrated by the “Nasi” school of Trapani was awarded

The musical work “Poseidon ‘Fury” by the multifaceted artist Emanuele Scandaliato, originally from Castelvetrano, was featured in two competitions, one in Sicily in Buseto Palizzolo, winning second prize and one at national level, in Laureanda di Borrello in Calabria .

It is another success for Scandaliato, which we told you about a few years ago, giving you news of his participation in the 2021 Monte Carlo nine-year anniversary with his paintings.

The music, composed in 2011, tells the story of the journey of some sailors in a sea of peace and theater of battles, between mythology and symbolism. Participation in the two competitions was born from Scandaliato’s partnership with the piano teacher Claudia Pisano.

Having met in 1993, the two artists met again after 28 years in Turin. “The love for the soundtrack has always been present within me since I was little. – reports Emanuele – When I watched Tim Burton’s films, I was fascinated and struck by the music that accompanied the images. I believe that nothing makes sense without music.

Our entire existence is characterized by music, which accompanies us throughout our lives. So, when Professor Pisano told me that she conducted an orchestra at her school “Nasi” in Trapani, I decided, albeit with a bit of shyness, to let her listen to the orchestral soundtrack “Poseidon’ Fury”, which I had composed in 2011.”

Professor Pisano was struck by it, and from there the idea of proposing it to the school children was born, participating in competitions for student orchestras. So Scandaliato returns to work on the piece again, collaborating with his friend from Castelvetrano Rudy Pusateri, who with his great experience and professionalism also added parts which made the work even more interesting.

There was so much emotion for Emanuele, who attended the school’s final performance.
