A de facto marriage for years because the pitch in via Nitti, home and cradle of San Giorgio, has for years now been one of the lungs for the Granata football school and beyond, having hosted the Torino teams for training and matches. In these years of collaboration, since the time of Silvano Benedetti and now with Corrado Buonagrazia, it had always been proposed, given the collaboration over time, to become an Academy but we had decided not to give shape to the project until, as now, it seems to us to be a decisive and important step for our reality. Which preserves and will preserve its own identity and philosophy but which needed planning, organization and a working method, from football school upwards, which allows our technicians, instructors and kids to grow in a context of superior quality and give a perspective without wanting or having to look elsewhere for that leap in quality. And continuing more and more in the philosophy of having our boys grow up to the first team at San Giorgio, as already happens today with 70% of the boys raised by us, but allowing them to reach the first team with a superior technical background and experience . And for this reason, the choice to appoint Lorenzo Capasso as technical manager of the football school, a boy who was a player with us, became a football school instructor, graduated from Suism and obtained the technical qualifications, is emblematic, as an emblem of what is and will increasingly be ours. philosophy”.
