Super TC Gallarate in Bedizzole. With the success of Sunday 16 June, the red and whites of the city of the two roosters repeat last year’s result grabbing the playoffs on the last day: the boys led by Matteo Mariani (in the photo above, from left to right, Paolo Chiappini, Filippo Carrozzo, Alessandro Curioni, Iacopo Luzi, Marco Zanovello, Roberto Conconi, Matteo Mariani, Filippo Salmini, Filippo Sala and Marco Rossi) they conclude group number 1 with four victories and only one defeat and the consequent second place which is worth access to the promotion play-offs in September.
Going in chronological order, after 5-1 knockout on the Bitetennis pitch in Mornico al Serio of the first day (19 May, ed.)the people of Gallara only knew how to win by lining up four positive results with Canottieri Mincio “B” (4-2 away from home, ed.), TC Lainate (4-2 at home, ed.), Molinetto Country Club (5-1 at home, ed.) And TC Bedizzole (5-1 away from home, ed.). After the playoffs reached last year, with the promotion dream vanished in the first round against CT Castellucchio, TC Gallarate returns to dream of the higher categorythanks to the constant work of a compact group, renewed in some elements that brought the right enthusiasm.
These are the words of Captain Matteo Marianiafter qualifying for the regional playoffs that will be played after the summer: “I’m very happy with what we did. Compared to last year we have renewed the group in some of its elements, without distorting the team and the hard core that we have been carrying with us for a few years. I am satisfied with everyone’s performance, given that each player managed to make his contribution and bring fundamental points to the team when called upon. The choices made led us to repeat last year’s good result, probably going against the predictions. We were able to make good use of the circumstances that were created and in Bedizzole we only completed the work we had patiently built on the previous Sundays. Now we will have to enjoy this beautiful moment without taking our foot off the accelerator, training with even more intensity in view of September“.
In the Group 2 the other Varese involved in the category, theEco Sports. The tennis players of Samaratese club (with some additions deriving from the merger with Pontenuovo Magenta, ed.) they have took fifth place in their grouping and the consequent salvation on the last day. After draw 3-3 of the first day against the battleship Eridanea rowersthey have arrived two consecutive defeats with Tennis Rovato And CT Parabiago. In her key moment, however, the victory with Rovellasca (then last in the group, ed.) and the draw with TC Lombardoallowed Eco Sport to maintain the category without major worries.
A day phase lasting five days, five weekends of tennis that populated the clubs in the region, with a Varese team that can continue to dream of promotion. TC Gallarate, in fact, awaits the draw which in September will pit him against one of the top-ranked players in the eight groupsaware that the task will be difficult but not impossible and that Serie C is only two victories away.
