BOLOGNA, 01 JUL – The ‘Salta Su!’ project is back for the next school year too. to guarantee free train and bus passes to students in Emilia-Romagna. A measure that provides for “an average saving of 350 to 650 euros per child” and which the regional councilor for Tourism and Transport, Andrea Corsini, hopes that the new council “will want to confirm this measure which is a bit of a symbol for the ‘Emilia-Romagna, but – he adds – I believe it should be done, due to the importance that the measure has assumed between sustainability and help for families.

Free annual passes are therefore confirmed for young people residing in Emilia-Romagna and attending primary, middle and high schools and professional training institutes. For high school students, the additional annual family ISEE requirement of up to 30 thousand euros is required. Last year, over 220 thousand girls and boys traveled for free, with an increase of 10% compared to 2022-2023 and with an allocation of over 25.5 million euros by the Region, a value which is also estimated for the 2023-2023 reporting 2024.
“It is a very important amount, and all from the Region, but these are resources well spent”, adds Corsini during a press conference attended by Tper, Seta, Start Romagna, Tep, Trenitalia Tper, Mete and Valmabus. “Jump on!” involved 42% of students enrolled in schools in Emilia-Romagna. The subscription application can only be submitted online thanks to Spid and Cie credentials by 18 December 2024.
