Tough stance taken by Italian Social Movement Vicenza (MIS Vicenza) against Gay Pride Vicenza 2024, which will give life to a procession in the city, scheduled for the afternoon of next Saturday 22 June.

“The city can easily do without this type of out-of-time carnival parade – declares Gian Luca Deghenghi, spokesperson for the MIS.
- They are useless, as the civil rights of LGBT citizens are already widely protected by current legislation as for everyone else.
- They are false, as they are imbued with victimhood due to imaginary discrimination against homosexual people which is not reflected in social reality.
- They are hypocritical, as behind the joyful and colorful form they hide instances of lawfulness and legality for aberrant practices such as the use of surrogacy and adoption for homosexual couples.
- They are subversive, as they attack the “traditional family” from its foundations, denying its unique value as the fundamental nucleus of the community and equating it with other forms of union which are empty parodies of it.
The fundamental challenge conveyed by Gay Pride, then, directed against a society deemed non-inclusive only because it does not assign dignity of rights to certain bizarre claims of the LGBTQUIA+ community, is totally unfounded.
For these reasons, the MIS Vicenza considers Gay Pride events to be vulgar and provocative, designed solely to cloak requests that are anything but admissible in alleged sharing.

It will not be yet another festival of bad taste next Saturday – concludes the MIS Vicenza note – that will give more strength to the rainbow world, which, although overexposed and supported by the champions of political correctness, remains in reality the bearer of a minority, marginal culture and sterile.
We invite all the people of Vicenza not to lend themselves with a superficial presence to swell the ranks of the demonstration on June 22nd.
Even if the rainbow flag flies over Palazzo Trissino and the administration has rewarded Pride with the patronage of the Municipality, Vicenza has many other things to take care of.
