The letter of good wishes from the archbishop of the diocese of Barletta to the graduates

Below is the text of the message from the Archbishop, Monsignor Leonardo D’Ascenzo, to the graduates on the occasion of the 2024 high school leaving exam.

«Dear boys and girls, the day of graduation is now upon us! A moment of great commitment and responsibility, not only in studying, but above all in building the great dream of your life.

In these past months, when I have been among you for the weekly visit to the schools, I have realized the preciousness and richness that each of you treasures and would like to donate. It is nice to see that your hearts are not asleep, as we adults sometimes think, but are full of life and dreams. The world needs hearts that know how to love and dream; who know how to love others and the beautiful things of creation; who know how to dream of a full life for themselves and for every brother and sister.

I entrust you to the wise heart of God, so that he may always accompany you and direct your desires in the search for the good and beauty present in each of you.

May your life be full of love and dreams to cultivate to change the world for the better and be a seed of hope and sincere brotherhood. Best wishes to all of you!
