Accademia dei Test, a branch of the EdTech startup Futura, specialized in preparing for university entrance tests, analyzed the scores obtained by aspiring doctors in the first session of the 2024 medical entrance test: here’s what emerged.

The University of Palermo, the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli and the University of Naples Federico II are among the universities where the highest average score was recorded. At the bottom of the ranking is Sardinia.

The results of the first session of the Medicine 2024 test, held on May 28th, are finally online. Since yesterday, 10 June 2024, it has been possible for aspiring doctors to consult their score on the Universitaly platform, using the unique code associated with each candidate. To read the final ranking, it will be necessary to wait for the second session to take place, scheduled for July 30th.

But what is the overview that emerges from these first results?

Accademia dei Test (https://www.accademiadeitest.it/), a branch of the EdTech startup Futura, specialized in preparing for university admission tests, analyzed the anonymous scores achieved by students, and below is what emerged from it. The average score obtained by the 62,279 aspiring doctors – Mur data – who took part in the first session of the 2024 Medicine test, was 48 points out of 90. In particular, among the Italian universities, the University of of the Studies of Palermo with an average of 52 points, the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli with 51.9, the University of Naples Federico II with 51.8, the University of Salerno with 50.1 and the University of Catania with 49.8. At the bottom of the ranking, however, we find the Sardinian universities, where the lowest average scores were recorded: 41.4 points for the University of Sassari and 43.1 for the University of Cagliari. Another significant data that emerged from the analysis conducted by Accademia dei Test concerns the achievement of the maximum score of 90 points, obtained by at least one student from each Italian university and by 1.2% of all participants. The University of Palermo stood out among all the others, where the largest number of students was registered, 57, which received the maximum points.

“We have processed the scores of individual universities, creating a temporary and indicative national ranking that can allow students to have a realistic idea of how their test went. According to our analyses, the minimum score to enter medicine is currently above 55 points – comments Andrea Chirolli, CEO of Accademia dei Test – but thousands of students are separated by a few tenths, so our advice, regardless of the result obtained , is to continue to perfect your studies, also practicing with simulations and practical tests and to try to improve your score in the July session.”
