Gallarate (Varese) – It’s on the table of the Regional Council which will discuss the relevant motion today the future of the hospitals of Gallarate and Busto Arsizio after the creation of the single health center in the Beata Giuliana district of Busto Arsizio. It was presented by regional councilors Luca Ferrazzi (Lombardia Migliore), Samuele Astuti (Pd) and Giuseppe Licata (Italia viva) and signed by other councilors. The discussion today.
“In words – explains Luca Ferrazzi – the desire to maintain healthcare functions where they exist today has emerged on several occasions the two hospitals, in structures that would become complementary to the new one. But for now, there is nothing written. With Astuti, Licata and the other signatories of the motion I share the objective of clarifying this point”. The motion asks the President of the Region and the Regional Council to stipulate clear and timely program agreements, it is underlined: “The municipal administrations must receive precise information on the condition of maintenance of local health functions within the urban redevelopment of the locations of the current hospitals also by reshaping the current forecasts of the territorial centers, community homes and community hospitals”.
The motion continues: “It is essential to ensure that existing structures can continue to adequately respond to the needs of the population until the new hospital is built. This requires careful management of current resources and operations.” Finally we invite ourselves the Asst Valle Olona to commit to stipulating agreements with the universities that host the faculties of medicine and surgery, to include trainees in the workforce, thus improving support for existing staff”.
