In Ragusa, in the premises of the LOGOS Società Cooperativa training institution, the first day of a masterclass was held today aimed at students attending the third and fourth year of the hairdressing course in Ragusa and Vittoria.
The day’s work was opened by Dr. Lorenzo Tomasi of the Logos Board of Directors, who after bringing greetings from the president and legal representative Dr. Rosario Alescio, focused on the formal, non-formal and informal learning tools.
The professor. Giuseppe Alecci presented the “Open Doors” project which allows students, who already attend and those who intend to enroll in Logos courses, to experience the profession first-hand, then addressed the topic of professional training, underlining the importance of the courses IeFP and in particular on the training offer, of “Logos Scuola dei Mestieri” as the only body with registered office in the Iblean territory aimed, in addition to allowing the fulfillment of the mandatory education and training, to raise the general skills of people, expanding the opportunities for acquiring a professional qualification and, precisely because it is an institution that knows the territory perfectly, providing coherent responses to the training and professional needs of the territory. Specifically, he illustrated the main objectives of the courses for Hairstylists, designed by Logos and carried out with the dual system which helps today’s students and tomorrow’s professionals understand the different needs of the customer; how to create customized hairstyles that suit the client taking into account industry trends; innovation in the field of hairstyling; consultancy skills and how to interact with the client by understanding preferences and communicating to offer professional suggestions; how to use specific tools and products. The increasingly competitive job market was also the topic touched upon during the report and how Logos tries to respond by creating synergies with partner companies by encouraging professional growth through tools that facilitate learning: the simulated alternation provided in the classroom and in the laboratories to follow the strengthened alternation and the first level apprenticeship which favors eventual entry into the world of work. In relation to this, he underlined the value of today’s day, which allows students, teachers and room owners to get to know “the Wella world” which boasts a long journey in product innovation, allowing the improvement of the service by responding to the needs of the consumer and in particular on ethical, social and environmental sustainability.
Then followed the report of the Wella technician, Mario Tumminia who, after having presented the evolution and paths of the company in 144 years of activity, focused on the aims and objectives of the company based on training and building skills for hairdressers and on opportunities for students who may emerge from the collaboration with Logos such as the possibility of participating in Wella events in the area, internships at Wella salons, specific seminars and placements in the world of work.
