Bari – The meeting on the Leonardo Spa dispute took place this morning in the Presidency Conference Room “Sala Di Jeso”, Lungomare Nazario Sauro, at the request of the union. This meeting was chaired by the Councilors Serena Triggiani And Alessandro Delli Noci. As expected, representatives of Leonardo Spa were absent.
The vice mayor of Grottaglie was present from Grottaglie Vincenzo Quaranta, Antonio Mingolla, Simone Mirto, Gabriele D’Abramo, Vito Rossini and Giusy Cassese who issued the following press release:
As a member of the Executive/Council Delegation of the Municipality of Grottaglie, on the meeting called today in Bari by the Regional Monitoring Committee, in relation to the “Leonardo” Plant Dispute, I declare the following:
While awaiting the various official declarations from the participants in today’s meeting on the “Leonardo” dispute, I immediately and fully agree with both the criticism directed at “Leonardo” for her absence and the express determination of the Regional Committee on the establishment of a ” National Table” at government level, coordinated by the Puglia Region.
In my speech, during the meeting, I proposed and illustrated, as a request from the M5S Advisory Group to the Municipality of Grottaglie, three simple and clear points:
– full support for the Union’s line, for the meeting on 24 June in Rome;
– maintenance of operational activities in the Grottaglie plant;
– drafting of a two-year economic plan (2024/2025), to overcome the difficulties of the moment.
So much so that the path followed so far by the Unions can also have, in the continuation of the Dispute, a concrete support of institutional legitimation and can be completed by them in the further necessary steps, for the Agreements still to be reached and concluded.
