Big party for the thirtieth edition of the Casatiello Festival in Sant’Arpino, a traditional event with good gastronomy and local folklore
It returns again this year beautiful Casatiello Festival in Sant’Arpino di Caserta on 21,22 and 23 June 2024, always in the central area Piazza Macrì (formerly Piazza Umberto I). A big party for the thirtieth edition of the “Casatiello Festival“ which will always be organized by the Pro Loco Sant’Arpino.

A beautiful event that in Sant’Arpino it is a traditional event with good gastronomy and local folklore. In the Naples of the Angevins in 1300 they called Casatiello “Herbulata de Mayo” and the King, Charles of Anjou he had this dish prepared for the May festival with lots of cheese, eggs and salami: it was precisely the current Casatiello! And it is precisely to remember a thousand-year-old tradition that has taken place in Sant’Arpino for thirty years the Casatiello Festival.

In Sant’Arpino Casatiello is based on ancient popular tradition which will be brought back to Piazza Macrì for three days with a beautiful festival with many food stands and typical and artisanal products which will open to the public from 18.00 to 24.00.

In these three days there will also be many events like the guided tours of the Doge’s Palace, exhibitions and musical evenings which you will find on the complete program below. In recent years the “Guinness World Records house“, which reached a weight of around four quintals, with around four hundred eggs and with a diameter of just over three metres. A great party not to be missed that has been repeated for 30 years.
