The eighth edition of “InQuadrando Paesaggi” in Civita d’Antino


CIVITA D’ANTINO (AQ) – Civita d’Antino is preparing to welcome the eighth edition of “Framing Landscapes. Art journeys lasting a century”, the exhibition that intends to celebrate the meeting of the Danish painters led by Kristian Zahrtmann and the evocative landscape that gave rise to the intense creative season of Danish and Scandinavian art of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th Junethe historic center of the town in the heart of the Roveto Valley will be transformed into an open-air museum, thanks to the staging of over ten exhibitions of Italian and international artists.

There will also be space for conferences with illustrious figures in the field of art and for the awarding of two important prizes: the “Kristian Zahrtmann” extemporaneous painting prize and the ACCDA Contemporary Art Award – Contemporary Art in Civita d’Antino.

The alleys of Civita d’Antino will also become frames capable of hosting traveling theatrical and musical shows and pictorial and scenographic attractions. Among those foreseen it is possible to mention “Men without Roots” of the Teatranti Tra Tanti company, in collaboration with I Briganti di Cartore and the Menestrelli del Cicolano, and the concert “Two Women, Nina Simone and Billie Holiday sing the Life” by Nina’s Trio.

Food and wine will also be the protagonist of the two days, with stands dedicated to street food and some wine cellars managed by the Proloco of Civita d’Antino.

Among the guests of the event can be counted Also Tiziana D’Acchilledirector of the Academy of Fine Arts of Perugia and Marco Nocca, Professor of History of Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, in addition to the Marsican artist Valentina De’ Mathàwhose works have been exhibited in numerous international museums.

The collaborations initiated are also significant, including the one with Huliasan Italy-Norway cultural exchange project in Civita d’Antino born thanks to the partnership between the main partner of the event, the Palazzo Ferrante Association, and the Municipality of Civita d’Antino; and those with the Marsarte Artists Group, CinemAbruzzo APS, Antinum Film (USA) and numerous national and international artists who will exhibit in the historic center of the village.

PRESENTATION OF THE VOLUME ACADEMIE VITTI – MONTPARNASSE

(Paris and artistic education between the 19th and 20th centuries). Edited by Gabriele Romani. In addition to the author, speakers will include: Tiziana d’Acchille, Director of the Academy of Fine Arts of Perugia, Marco Nocca, professor of History of Art – Academy of Fine Arts of Rome

Awarding of the “ACCDA – CONTEMPORARY ART IN CIVITA D’ANTINO” prize

  • From 5.30pm to 8.00pm: Traveling theatrical and musical show “MEN WITHOUT ROOTS” by the Teatranti Tra Tanti company in collaboration with Ass. TAMS and Briganti di Cartore
  • 9.00 pm: Impromptu painting awards ceremony – Kristian Zahrtmann Award
  • 9.30pm: Start of the evening show: “Two Women, Nina Simone and Billie Holiday sing the Life” with Francesca Catenacci, vocals; Michele Creati, drums; Rodolfo Berardi, piano; Valeria Bafile and Giuseppe Tomei, narrators

SUNDAY 30 JUNE

  • 9.30 am: Opening of exhibitions. Conferences at the Antinum Museum in Civita d’Antino
  • 10.30 am: Conference “Artists and travelers of the Grand Tour in Valle Roveto between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries”, curated by Paolo Accettola.
  • 11.30 am: Documentary presentation entitled: “Under the occupation”. Stories of life, courage and survival, Written and directed by Loreto Di Cesare. Actress and Voiceover Alessia Patregnani; Original music Giuseppe Patanè; Produced by Antinum Film – USA by Loreto di Cesare.

In case of rain, the institutional events will take place in the Council Room of the Municipality of Civita d’Antino.
