Reduced to death for a slight committed in the management of drug trafficking. It was the operators of the Trani emergency room who alerted the police to the arrival in hospital of a 30-year-old local man suffering from numerous stab wounds. According to the military’s reconstruction, the boy would have been the victim of a punitive expedition organized by two criminals, a 24-year-old and a 30-year-old from Bisceglie, with whom shortly before, at 4 in the morning, he had had a meeting for clarification on alleged affairs linked to the drug dealing. But the appointment quickly turned into a showdown. The 30-year-old from Trani was first hit repeatedly with a stick and then injured with a knife. The two attackers fled in a car, leaving the victim lying on the ground and bleeding, with only enough strength to call for help. The story of the victim, his family and the witnesses present at the attack allowed the police, coordinated by the Trani Prosecutor’s Office, to reconstruct what happened and trace those responsible. The 24-year-old and the 30-year-old from Bisceglie were arrested and taken to prison: they will have to answer for attempted murder and carrying weapons and objects capable of offending.
