Monte Amiata, 17 June 2024 – There is a turning point in the case of courier disappeared on the Amiata. Two mentwo foreign citizens, one of Turkish nationality and the other Albanian, were stop. For the two have been formulated the hypotheses of robbery and damage following fire. Hypothesis of crime, the latter, relating to the discovery of the courier’s truck, found burned on 24 May.
The Albanian citizen, 33 years old, lives in Castel del Piano, in the province of Grosseto, and was stopped at Ciampino airport as he was about to take a plane to Tirana. The Turk, 42 years old, lives in Arcidosso, also in the province of Grosseto. The two know each other. Tomorrow is expected the validation hearing before the judge. Prosecutor Giovanni De Marco is coordinating the investigations.
According to the investigators’ hypothesis, the two would part of an organization no stranger to attacks like this. Other members of the gang who allegedly burgled the courier’s truck are currently wanted.
Nicolas Matias Del Rio, 40 years old, disappeared last May 22nd in the Monte Amiata area, between the provinces of Grosseto and Siena, while he was making a delivery of designer bags for the ‘New Futura’ of Piancastagnaio. After a phone call to the owner of the company he worked for to whom he had passed a man who said his name was Goni, he was vanished into thin air. Unreachable phone and so far never found. There is no trace of the man, who lived in Abbadia San Salvatore.
The vanwithout the bags, was found burnt in the Monte Labro Park on May 24th. The relatives of the victims took action on the matter and the case also reached the Argentina, where the missing man’s relatives live. Exactly in Lanus, a city of over 200 thousand inhabitants, in the province of Buenos Aires.
For Nicolas’ family there are no doubts: “They took him away!”, his wife wrote on social media in recent days, clearly making clear what she thinks happened to the man. “He is Nicolas Matias Del Rio – writes his wife in the post –, my husband, I ask that his image continue to be spread since he disappeared on May 22nd and has not been found since that date.
