POZZUOLI – Bradyseism in the Campi Flegrei, exercises scheduled for next week in the territories of Pozzuoli and Bacoli. On Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th June, a seismic swarm and an increase in ground deformations will be simulated and the emergency interventions envisaged in this regard in the Bradyseism Emergency Expedition Plan in the Phlegraean area will be tested. In recent days, in fact, a meeting of the Rescue Coordination Center was held at the Prefecture of Naples, via video connection with the Department of Civil Protection, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, with the Civil Protection of the Campania Region and the Municipality of Naples and with the mayors of Pozzuoli and Bacoli, to organize the exercise activities on the agenda for the next few days. «During this exercise, on the organization of which all the subjects of the Civil Protection system will continue to work in the coming days, the Rescue Coordination Center, activated in the Prefecture, will be extended to the participation of the Police Forces, the Fire Brigade, the Campania Region, the municipalities involved and all the other subjects involved in the rescue activities, for the continuous monitoring of the event and the unitary management of emergency interventions – we read in a note issued by the Prefecture – This important exercise, which adds to the exercise activities that have been underway for a few months, aims to make the response of the civil protection bodies that are called upon to operate in relation to any possible operational scenario determined by the bradyseismic phenomenon even more adequate and incisive. ».
