Known name, known face: la Carpegna Ham Basket Pesaro announces that he has reached a two-year agreement to bring the team back to the red and white Simone Zanotti. Wing/center born in 1992, 208 cm and weighing 106 kg, he has already worn the VL jersey for four seasons, all in Serie A, from 2018 to 2022. An athletic and vertical player, fast and with a good hand from the perimeter, Zanotti’s qualities are known to the Pesaro fans.
These are the first sensations of the Turin player a few moments after putting pen to paper the beginning of a new experience in the VL shirt: “I am very happy to return to Pesaro, a city that is home for me. I’m coming back here for an important objective, so the satisfaction is double.”
Zanotti’s career began in 2010 with the Reggio Emilia jersey, followed by years in Ruvo di Puglia and Lucca. In 2013/2014 he took the field with his Torino, then he was in Bisceglie, Pavia, Monteroni di Lecce and Porto Sant’Elpidio. In 2018 he received a call from VL for his debut in the top league: in Pesaro he entered the hearts of the fans, reaching the Coppa Italia final against Milan in 2021 and the scudetto playoffs the following year. 2022/2023 saw him busy in Naples, while his year ended once again in Turin in Serie A2 taking part in the promotion playoffs. In 2023/2024 he signed some good performances in Serie A with Vanoli Cremona, a team he left to return to Pesaro under the orders of Coach Pino Sacripanti.
