The singer-songwriter, traveling around Italy with his stadium tour, confessed to having tried another professional path before finally “exploding”
Last he’s busy with his stadium tour, there’s waiting for him hat-trick at the Olimpico in Rome (22-23-24 June, the first two sold out). In the meantime, the singer-songwriter made a promotional tour on the radio to present his latest album “Somewhere else” and to RDS he confessed that he had also tried the talent card: “I showed up for the Amici auditions two years in a row, if not three. But this is a beautiful message. I believe that, as I also told Maria De Filippi privately, a defeat should not be experienced as ‘They didn’t notice me’. Reviewing the videos that Maria sent me, I was very introverted. Even aesthetically I always presented myself with my eyes lowered. In a TV show you have to have TV timing and you have to be smiling and fresh.”
So ultimately he did a lot of auditions: “Twice on X Factor, twice on Sanremo Giovani, at the time of Carlo Conti, and they never took me: seven refusals. She had to go like this. Yet I sang the songs that thousands of kids later liked: Hanging dreams, Giusy And Little Star”.
After Rome, Ultimo will land in Sicily for a single stage on 28 June at the San Filippo Stadium in Messina (sold out) and a concert, already sold out, on 6 July at the Euganeo Stadium in Padua, which will see the curtain fall.
