Voters “suffering from very serious infirmities, such that leaving the home in which they live is impossible” even with the aid of the transport services made available by the municipality to facilitate reaching the polling station by the disabled and those ” suffering from serious infirmities who find themselves in conditions of continuous and vital dependence on electro-medical equipment such as to prevent them from leaving their home” can ask the mayor of their municipality in which they are registered to vote to vote in the home in which they live. The application deadline is June 19, 2024 (art. l of the legislative decree of 3 January 2006, n. l, converted by law of 27 January 2006 n. 22, as amended by law of 7 May 2009, n. 46).
The interested voter must send the Mayor of his municipality an express declaration certifying his desire to cast his vote at the home in which he lives, indicating the address of the home in which the voter lives and a telephone number.
The application must be accompanied by a copy of the electoral card and suitable health certification issued by a medical official designated by the bodies of the local health authority who certifies the existence of the conditions of illness referred to in paragraph 1, art. 1 of Legislative Decree n. 1/2006 and subsequent amendments. and ii., with a prognosis of at least sixty days starting from the date of issue of the certificate, or conditions of continuous and vital dependence on electro-medical equipment.
