A resident: ‘There is no dialogue with the tenants’

VIGNANELLO – Dog excrement not only in the courtyard, but also in the common areas, urine stains on the wallsdirt and animal hair: these are the precarious hygienic conditions and maintenance in which a Vignanello palace (Talano area), also inhabited by families with children. There don’t seem to be any solutions in sight for those involved in the matter: this lack is due to the lack of proactivity of the tenants of a person, resident in the building and exhausted by the situation.
She provided Viterbonews24 with a detailed report reporting the problem: “We turned to the Carabinieri, we turned to the Municipality, as long as the person who litters is caught it’s fine for a day or two, but then it starts again. There are dog hair and poop – he underlined – and it is a situation that has been going on for several years”. The institutions know the difficult daily lives of the residents and have intervened.
Cleaning in the building “is usually done – continued the person interviewed – outside of Thursday, the day when it is our turn: we also do it on Monday or Tuesday, when we see that there are extreme conditions. There’s not just a dog hair or a footstep: there’s actual dirt. There’s pee on the walls… It’s true that it’s a council building, but you shouldn’t live in these conditions either”. A sincere and legitimate observation, caused by the disinterest of the majority.
“There are families, adults and children. Taking the stairs helps your stomach: one time you find blood, one time you find excrement, one time you find the doormat dirty with poop, because some rather childish pranks are done… Dog hair is quite voluminous. Then c‘the grass is long, there is rubbish… There is no dialogue with these tenantsi, appear vulnerable” he concluded, alluding to the impossibility of collaborating and sincerely expressing one’s grievances, which are always returned to the sender.
The lack of internal agreements causes the already evident and justified disagreements to falter even more. A tolerance that does not give in to resignation: reporting is instead possible, to fuel efficiency in providing a lasting remedy.
