Three women in three days made up of fords, paths and overnight stays in tents to transfer their horses from Abruzzo to Molise.
Maryowner of the fir White wine from Pescopennataro, together with Georgie just 12 years old and Simona they left yesterday morning at dawn from the “Costa dei Trabocchi” or rather from the “Fattoria di Città” of Lanciano, with their horses Magic, Rio and Capriolo and will reach Pescopennataro tomorrow during the day for a route exceeding 70 kilometres.
Two overnight stays in a tent and a horseback ride that will cross the territories of Lanciano, the Serranella Oasis, the Selva di Altino, Roccascalegna, Pennadomo, Villa Santa Maria, the Borrello waterfalls and then Pescopennataro.
Without fear, ready to set up camps in the best way and also enjoy superb nature that offers breathtaking views, up and down paths that are in some cases impervious.
Horses ready for the fords and on the roads once traveled by their ancestors with perfect understanding with their docile steeds. These animals which once in Pescopennataro will be available to tourists and enthusiasts for nature tours for the entire summer.
The biggest dangers are perhaps represented by wild animals which can also be attracted by the scents of the kitchen during moments of bivouac, or sudden encounters in the woods, but the three “Amazons” have foreseen everything and are ready for any difficulty.
They certainly won’t be isolated thanks to cell phones and GPS that monitor their every move. However, a nice initiative and a foray into mostly still wild places wanted by the three women who in this way avoided the more comfortable and faster transfer by means of vehicles and vans and which could, in the future, represent a real excursion on a tour that smacks of Western also for lovers of the world of horses.
