Last week to register for the first edition of the ComisoRace, a race valid as the fourth round of the interesting road racing circuit “Sicily Bronze Races“. The event is scheduled Sunday 23 June in Comiso it is organized by the ASD Athlon Kamarina with the patronage of the municipality of Comiso and will also be held as the 14th round of the “Grand Prix degli Iblei 2024”.
Ten kilometres, approved route, a stick circuit without roughness, fast, suitable for those who want to improve their personal skills over the distance of 10,000 meters on the road; a race that also aims to be an opportunity to get to know the town in the province of Ragusa, a combination of sport and tourism that is in the circuit’s DNA”Sicily Bronze Races” which will be at its halfway point next Sunday. Comiso will represent the last test before the summer break, with the restart at the beginning of autumn.
But let’s go back to next Sunday’s race which benefits from the excellent and meticulous organization of theAthlon Kamarina. President Lory Busacca’s company has already successfully organized the second test of the circuit, last April 7th in Scoglitti.
Not only the competitive race in Comiso, but also a walking of ten kilometers with the start of the “walkers” immediately following the start that will be given to the competitive race. A way to admire at a “fast pace” the beauties of the historic center of the ancient Greek colony in the province of Ragusa.
PRIZES, GADGETS AND THE USUAL CESTIVE WELCOME
Many prizes and gadgets for those who take part in the event: for all finishers a plexiglass medal, depicting the Diana Source. The medal was created by the Dada Pubblicità company of Comiso. (medal that we can admire on the cover of the article).
The technical shirt of the event from the Finnish brand Karhu is reserved for the participants of the Sicily Bronze Race. The prizes will go to the first overall and to all the top three in the category. The final refreshment is inevitable and eagerly awaited, a third period which, according to the organizers’ objectives, must also be a moment of sharing and aggregation.
On the competitive front there will be no shortage of top athletes who will support the masters. We will talk about the presence of the elite athletes in the next article, we can only anticipate that these are names that will raise the spectacularity index of the race to the nth degree.

Departure from piazza Fonte Diana, via S. Biagio, via G. Di Vita, via/Corso Umberto I, piazza Karl Marx, via Gen. Girlando (crossing), via G. Pascoli, via dei Frassini, viale della Resistenza, via Gen . Girlando (crossing), via S. Biagio, Arrival in Piazza Fonte Diana, to be repeated 4 times, for a total of 10km. SAME ROUTE FOR WALKING.
PROGRAM OF THE EVENT
* Meeting, departure and arrival will be held in Piazza Fonte Diana in Comiso (RG);
* 5.00pm – 6.00pm: Jury and competitors meeting;
* 6.30pm: 10K start;
* 6.30pm: Walking departure. (They will start at the tail end of the competitive participants);
* 8.00 pm: Awards ceremony. (following the end of the race).
