CTP Taranto: connections to the seaside resorts

Ctp, the public transport company of the province of Taranto presents important news for connections with the Beach resorts. In particular, the first lines will already be active from Saturday, June 15th, and will guarantee the connections with the main tourist destinations of the Ionian area.

“For the now upcoming summer season – declares the president of CTP, the lawyer Francesco Tacente – we propose an offer that is even more suited to the needs and absolutely in tune with the requests of citizens, associations, mayors and operators in the hotel sector. And this was possible following the financial recovery action already started over a year ago and the profound restyling of our vehicle fleet which now includes 87 new buses, purchased in recent months”.

In this regard, President Tacente attributes the results and improvements obtained by the company “to the work of the board of directors, managers, drivers, employees and workshop workers, to the constructive collaboration of the unions and to the precious support of our majority shareholder, Rinaldo Melucci, as president of the Province of Taranto”.

Among the main ones news for summer 2024we highlight the doubling of the trips from Paolo VI to the seaside resorts which will travel along the coast road until reaching the administrative island of the capital municipality, Marina of Taranto. In this case, the buses will reach the new terminus located in the immediate vicinity of the plant “Maracaibo Beach”. Furthermore, CTP also confirms the line to Ginosa Marina for 2024 which, in its route, includes Riva dei Tessali.

President Tacente concludes as follows: “Our constant commitment to sustainable mobility pushes us to always welcome other ideas and suggestions. For our part, we provide new, comfortable, safe and environmentally friendly vehicles.”

In summary, from Saturday 15 June 2024, the launch of the following connections will be brought forward: Taranto-Salento coast (“Maracaibo Beach” terminus), with return trips; Laterza-Ginosa Marina; Massafra-Chiatona; Palagianello-Castellaneta Marina; Castellaneta-Castellaneta Marina and Grottaglie-Marina di Taranto (Maracaibo Beach terminus).

FROM PAUL VI TO THE SEA – From 1 July to 31 August 2024, however, the new travel times from the Paolo VI district towards the seaside resorts they will be as follows: from Monday to Friday at 9 and 11 am; on Saturdays at 8.15am and 11am. In this case, the buses will leave from via Cannata, near the Carabinieri barracks. On the way back, however, the buses will depart from the new CTP terminus located near the “Maracaibo Beach” according to the following timetable: from Monday to Saturday at 3pm and 6.30pm.
