Pavia, 17 June 2024 – Surprised by the neighbors alerted by suspicious noises, the thief was intercepted as he left the apartment he had just burgled. At the attempt to block him, he had a violent reaction, engaging in a scuffle with the brave neighbors, sending one to the hospital. But in the meantime the police arrived and arrested him for aggravated robbery.
It happened on Saturday in Pavia, in via Villa Serafina, on the eastern outskirts of the city. The man who was injured in the scuffle with the criminal got away with it a prognosis of a few daysdischarged from the emergency room after being treated for bruises which were fortunately not serious.
The alleged perpetrator was instead loaded into the Volante’s car and taken to the police station for the ritual formalities, detained pending validation of the arrest. It was around 10.30 when the neighbors became alarmed when they heard noises noises come from the apartment in which they knew that no one should be home at that moment. And going to check what was happening, they came across the stranger, immediately identified as a stranger who doesn’t live in that building. It was a matter of a few moments: the neighbors realized they were face to face with a thief and tried to stop him.
While the request for intervention to 112 immediately went out, there was a violent reaction from the criminal, which caused injuries to one of the neighbors. The arrival of the police on site put an end to the dangerous situation, with immediate aid given to the victim and the arrest of the person responsible.
