MARTINSICURO. The blue FEE flags, which will once again be flying on their concessions this year, were handed over to the Truentine bathers in the council chamber. «A recognition resulting from the great teamwork between the municipal administration and tourist operators», explains the mayor Massimo Vagnoni, «particular thanks go to our offices and maintenance staff for the important work carried out to ensure confirmation of the Blue Flag». For the environmental councilor Marco Cappellacci it is a «goal that must be achieved with daily work: every year the Fee raises the level of the parameters to be respected, both environmental ones and those relating to services, and we will continue to be ready. We have made some stretches of free beach accessible to people with disabilities, while the latest Arta sampling has confirmed the excellent quality of our bathing water.”
According to the budget commissioner Alduino Tommolini «the now usual, although not at all obvious as it is the result of constant work, annual event for the awarding of the Blue Flag represents the opportunity to reiterate how strong the collaborative relationship between the municipal administration and tour operators. A relationship thanks to which it was possible to introduce the tourist tax years ago and therefore lay the financial foundations for the construction of the brand new seafront, the true flagship of our beautiful tourist resort.” The tourism delegate Umberto Barcaroli, in highlighting the “hard work put in place by this administration to bring the Blue Flag back to the city”, reiterates that it is a “fundamental recognition for the growth of city tourism”. The president of the tourist operators association was also satisfied. «The Blue Flag, which has been missing for many years, greatly improves the appeal of the town», he observes, «the collaboration with the administration is proceeding quickly: in recent days the calendar of events on which we have collaborated trying to offer our contribution to enriching the offer of an increasingly demanding market, such as the tourism one.” (sds)
