The driver from Cariati, together with the Dane Nielsen and the Spaniard Molina, achieved a great victory in the legendary endurance marathon. This is the second consecutive victory for the Cavallino team

Ferrari won the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans, repeating last year’s triumph.

The No.50 of the Italian Antonio Fuoco, the Spaniard Miguel Molina and the Danish Nicklas Nielsen preceded the Toyota No.7 and the other Ferrari, the No.51, winner last year on the legendary Manceau track.

For the Prancing Horse, this is the 11th overall victory in the classic French endurance marathon, the second consecutive after the one obtained on 11 June 2023 with the 499P number 51: the previous ones date back to 1949, 1954, 1958, and the years between 1960 and 1965.

Furthermore, the Maranello company’s roll of honor at Le Mans includes 29 class victories: the overall victories therefore reach 40. The race, valid as the fourth round of the FIA WEC 2024, saw the 499P number 83 of the AF Corse team – which had been a protagonist for a long time, also occupying the lead of the race – retired after 248 laps.

The Oreca No.22 of the United Autosports team won in LMP2 and the Porsche No.91 of the Manthey Ema team in the LMGT3, a category in which Valentino Rossi competed for the first time at Le Mans.

However, the BMW of the former MotoGP world champion was forced to retire after Rossi’s teammate, the Omani Ahmad Al Harthy, went off the track.
