A large cream-based cake with strawberries for decoration as in the most classic of birthdays. But the writing, instead of greetings, celebrated “10 years of Resistance”: so the community of Mondeggi common good toasted the two decades of garrison-occupation of farmhouses and land owned by the Metropolitan City, left abandoned for much longer . It was the final act of a weekend filled with shows, music, food and debates.
Now the situation has changed. The Metropolitan City has decided to spend approximately 57 million euros of Pnrr funds on Mondeggi for a social activities project, in collaboration with Mondeggi common good, involving other associations. The construction sites have been open for several months and the work is progressing, but the real problem to overcome will be who to entrust the management of the villa, farmhouses and land to be used in a project that has a unified vision.
Contacts for co-planning with the Mondeggini have been underway for some time now. Three months ago the community, which in the meantime was formed into APS (Association for Social Promotion), had part of the land on loan for use. One step at a time towards returning to legality and building the future of Mondeggi.
