SAN PIETRO VERNOTIC – Great opportunity for two associations from San Pietro Vernotico which, thanks to the accompanying activities organized by Arti Puglia, were present in Bologna for the 2024 edition of “We Make Future!”, one of the largest global showcases on Digital, Technology and Social Innovation. Three intense days of technological innovation, networking and promotion of the territory. These are the “Il Sogno” cooperative with the “INext” project, a web radio which is based in an asset confiscated from organized crime and reactivated through the “Luoghi comune” financing and the Department of Youth Policies of the Puglia Region, and “Tramoontana Aps”, with the “Valesio Community Hub” project in the municipality of Torchiarolo.

“During the fair, we were present at the stand of the Puglia Region, to promote the “Mare a Sinistra” strategy. An initiative which aims to encourage counter-exodus and aims not only to attract talent at an international level, but also to keep the its best energies, valorising them, guaranteeing the Apulians in the world, who want to return, all the opportunities to do so”.

“Our involvement in the fair represents, in this historical period, a significant step for the associative movement of the third sector of San Pietro Vernotico, allowing us to share experiences and strategies with a broad, national and regional audience of innovators and professionals in the sector”

On stage we wanted to share the importance of community radio in a such an important context. The response from the intrigued public was incredible”, comments Andrea Bari.

“With the Valesio Community Hub project we are building a community space where tradition and identity of our territory can coexist, with technological and innovative visions”, explained Raffaele Manca.

“It was exciting to be able to promote our countries in an event on innovation and technology, and collect many ideas, feedback and contaminations for sustainable development of the territory. Participating in the ‘Mare aleft’ initiative allowed us to highlight the potential of our territory and our local development initiatives. We are thrilled to have participated in this important event and to have represented the Puglia Region and our respective projects, INext and Valesio Community Hub, in such a prestigious context”.
