Como, there are no marked pedestrian crossings: “I’ve been waiting for answers for 15 months, mothers with strollers pass by there”

In Salita Cappuccini in Como there is a problem, it concerns a pedestrian crossing that does not exist and which, according to the reader’s report, is essential to be created. The same report was sent 15 months ago to the Municipality, followed by other reminders. What doesn’t add up in the attached photo? Well yes! The vertical signs indicate the presence of a pedestrian crossing which is not there. We are in Salita Cappuccini at a point where the pavement ends on one side and resumes on the other with consequent forced crossing. I reported this via URP Online on March 14th 2023 (over a year ago) also remembering that mothers come down from there with strollers from the nursery school.

After some reminders, in March 2024 I received a reply from the competent municipal sector that the appointed company would intervene as soon as possible. Also in March 2024 I made sure to ask the Local Police who had priority in this situation. The response was very prompt: “give way to the vehicle” adding, however, that they would transmit right away reporting to the Technical Office to intervene and regularize the situation.

To date, 15 months from the first report and 3 from the response, nothing has changed, no intervention, no other response. The sequel to the next episode….
