The lawyer Nicola Maione was awarded by the Rotary Club of Lamezia Terme with the prestigious “Valter Greco” award

The awards ceremony was presided over by Dr. Antonio Mallamo, president of the club for the year 2023/24, and saw the participation of numerous personalities from the area and affiliated clubs.

During the event, Maione’s professional commitment and his role as president of Monte dei Paschi di Siena, “the oldest bank in the world”, were praised.

President Mallamo underlined the importance of rewarding local excellence and contributing to the growth of the territory, while the mayor Paolo Mascaro shared his satisfaction with the choice to reward Maione, recognizing its value and qualities.

During an interview with journalist Sarah Incamicia, Maione spoke about his passion for Calabria and his commitment to supporting local businesses and combating youth unemployment.

We have immense capital – states Maione – which is not exploited properly. We need to create an ecosystem that allows you to do business in the south, in Calabria, in Lamezia. PNRR funds and all related projects can be used to try to retain young people in our land.

I thank everyone for this award – continues the lawyer – receiving recognition in one’s own land is a profound emotion because not everyone happens to be awarded in their own city. It is a great, immense joy that I will always carry with me. Seeing my family, friends, the mayor and many institutions in the room, who came to celebrate this recognition with me, was an indescribable emotion.

Finally, the presentation of the prize and the hug between the lawyer and the mother were particularly intense.
