In implementation of the directives of the Minister of the Interior and on the basis of the intervention strategies shared within the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security, extraordinary territorial control services connected to the security protocol called Alto Impatto.

During the operations, portions of operational units were deployed, guaranteeing, through police, carabinieri and financial police personnel, assisted by ASP personnel, each for their sectors of competence, a significant presence in the area.

In particular, the services were deployed along and around the road axes of via Spinuzza, piazza Olivella and via Matera, itineraries particularly frequented by bystanders and characterized by the presence of businesses with a diversified commercial offer.

During this last weekend, eight inspections were carried out in relation to as many premises. In five of them, irregularities and violations were found which resulted in administrative sanctions for a total amount of almost 19 thousand euros.

The violations found in the context of an inspection carried out at a pizzeria in the Spinuzza area were particularly serious: administration without a wake, occupation with tables of a large and unforeseen portion of public land, non-compliance found, health and hygiene deficiencies and failure to update the HACCP manual. Following a second inspection, again in the Spinuzza area, the creation of small musical entertainment without authorisation, the occupation of public land and the high noise emission outside the venue were contested.

In addition to the administrative sanctions, in this case the temporary seizure of mixers and speakers was triggered. The owners of two other premises in the area were, however, accused of failing to periodically check the cash register.

Finally, several irregularities were also reported to the owner of a pub not far from Piazza Fonderia: occupation of public land, failure to comply with the Dehors regulation, violation of the HACCP self-control manual and presence of a kitchen area not covered in the Scia registration request. Overall, only during the services carried out in the center of Palermo, 189 people were identified and 39 vehicles checked.

In parallel with the inspection activity in the city center area, the police also took steps to extensively monitor the seaside village of Sferracavallo, which was stormed by bathers and tourists with the first warm weather. Through checkpoints and passages along the most frequented arteries, over the last week, 121 people have been identified, 87 vehicles have been checked, 21 complaints against the Highway Code have been made, 3 traffic permits have been withdrawn and a vehicle has been administratively stopped. half.

Similarly, we proceeded in the province, along the roads of Bagheria and Santa Flavia. In the latter case, 118 people were identified, 64 vehicles were checked, 8 charges were raised against the highway code, 2 administrative seizures were carried out and one vehicle was stopped.
