Having reached the final stages, the project for the new Cagliari Calcio stadium is starting to see the light. And not only for the endorsement received from the new mayor Massimo Zedda two days ago (“there were mistakes made on the urban planning variant, now the process is at an advanced stage, after the evaluation of the economic-financial plan the project will be able to go to tender »). But why tomorrow morning Tommaso Giulini’s company will present the additions requested by the Region to the Municipality (Department of the Environment which must give the Paur, the new name of the environmental impact assessment): this is the last (formal) step before the convening of the decision-making services conference in August. From that moment, at most three months, therefore in November, the Fear that will enable the city council to declare the public utility of the work at the beginning of 2025.
If these times are respected, the international competition will start in February (the Municipality will do it) e in mid-2025 it will be possible to start demolishing the Sant’Elia and building the new stadium.
