White night of sport on 13 July in Livorno

Livorno, 16 June 2024 – After the success of the first edition with over 15 thousand visitors and enthusiasts, the ‘White night of sport‘ on 13 July, from 6.30pm to 2.30am in the same location –: between via dei Pensieri, via Allende and the sports facilities in the area which are part of the ‘Cittadella dello sport’. The event is organized by the Lem Foundation, an organization that deals with major events for tourism purposes on behalf of the Municipality of Livorno, in collaboration with the provincial committee of CONI. The Italian volleyball player Elena Pietrini will be the testimonial of the event. She will not be able to participate in the Paris Olympics because she is recovering from a scheduled surgery. In fact, the organizers of the event, the Mayor Luca Salvetti and Gianni Giannone, provincial CONI manager, wished her a speedy recovery.

Mayor Hello at the presentation he underlined: “The associations of the various disciplines will participate in the second edition, there will be Coni coordinating the sporting front, there will be a beautiful show proposed by the Lem Foundation” which will be revealed in the next few days.

There will be 42 people present at the event, including sports federations and promotional bodies, for a total of 56 sports activities planned, with around a hundred clubs and thousands of young people, boys and girls involved. From basketball to rugby, from tennis to cycling, passing through all the other disciplines present in the city, with some new features such as subbuteo and surfing.

The White Night of Sport – started from an idea of ​​the mayor of Livorno, Luca Salvetti last year, will also see the involvement of many Livorno champions of yesterday and today. This year too, the main stage will be located in the car park of the school field, where 6 talks on Livorno sport are scheduled, followed by music, and the area for sports shows will also be set up.
