From 8 to 14 July at the Villa Romana in Bocca di Magra the literary review “The great themes” by Annamaria Bernardini de Pace returns, which also in this fifteenth edition will host writers, journalists and show business personalities in its summer lounge in what is now an essential event in the Ameglio summer. The program will start on July 8th with Giovanni Terzi and Simona Ventura and will continue the following day with Vittorio Feltri, while on July 10th there will be Giulia and Rosario Sorrentino. On Friday 11th it will be Donato Carrisi’s turn while the weekend will conclude the event with Gabriel Garko and Gino Saladini on Saturday and Umberto Brindani on Sunday.
The underlying theme of the books under review will be the dualism “Well-being or malaise?” with various ideas that will be offered by the authors invited by the curator and creator of the exhibition: “Well-being should not be understood as economic – explains the now adopted lawyer from Ameglia – but as something that must lead to responding in harmony to one’s own needs and goals and their discoveries. Unease, on the contrary, is not understanding what your changes, needs and desires are that lead to panic. In this sense – adds the lawyer – social networks have ruined us, in particular they have been harmful to those parents who today treat their children as their own followers and expect to have a “like” every moment. Instead, we have the responsibility to train and educate them, growing balanced, aware and conscious citizens and people. I would really like the “parental license” to be established. To bring a child into the world, a certain awareness is needed and I say this as “the medical examiner of dead love”, I know why it happens, children after separations can take on the wrong stories. During and after the pandemic, everything happened in families, the problem of feminicides is increasingly serious, it is full of violent men, not because of a patriarchal mentality but because they are not educated and their violence emerges. I assure you that soon the issue of violent women who men are ashamed to report will also come out.” So instead on the guests: “Giovanni Terzi will arrive the day after his wedding with Simona Ventura to present his book “Madame Camorra” while Vittorio Feltri, always politically incorrect, will bring “Fascists of the Word”. Rosario and Giulia Sorrentino will talk to us about a very current topic such as panic attacks and the beloved Sveva Casati Modignani will tell us “Life is beautiful. Despite”. So we will have Donato Carrisi, who was known by the general public thanks to his presence here in the first edition, and then Gabriel Garko and Gino Saladini, before the last appointment with the detective story “Imperfect Suicide” by a great journalist like Umberto Brindani”.

“For Ameglia this event is really important, above all because it gathers a large, interested and passionate audience around culture – explain the mayor and deputy mayor of Ameglia Umberto Galazzo And Raffaella Fontana – always with the greatest freedom of choice regarding guests. This happens because every book, every prestigious guest who comes here, gives us stimuli and reflections on our time that pass through us and leave us with questions. The validity of this event is also confirmed by its longevity, 15 years. Heartfelt thanks go to Annamaria Bernardini de Pace for the commitment and prestige that she brings to this initiative which, consequently, become prestige and commitment for our territory and for our Municipality”. All events will, as always, be free to enter and will be accompanied by the music of Manuel Piccioli. The books will instead be available for purchase at the Villa Romana thanks to the collaboration with the Mondadori bookshop in Sarzana.
