A touch of internationality with Nelson De Jesus Silva, known to all as Dida, guest of the Milan Club Faenza “Carlo Sangiorgi” who organized a special event at the Circolo Tennis.
“Welcome by the president Giuseppe Sangiorgi and by the entire council of the association of Rossoneri supporters, the Brazilian champion had some exchanges on the padel field, a sport in which he is now a protagonist together with other former footballers, and gave the over 200 fans autographs, photos and selfie, but above all a lot of sympathy recalling his sporting adventure” they say from the Milan Club Faenza.
Dida is one of the only three footballers in history, together with his compatriots Ronaldinho and Cafu, to have managed to win, at least once, the UEFA Champions League, Copa Libertadores, FIFA World Cup, Copa América and Confederations Cup. In the role of goalkeeper Dida he won everything with Milan: two Champions Leagues, as many European Super Cups, a Club World Cup, an Italian Championship, an Italian Cup and an Italian Super Cup. Successes signed in the era of president Silvio Berlusconi, remembered with esteem and emotion by the Brazilian champion a year after his death.
“There is only one president – said Dida –. Berlusconi achieved everything he believed in for the team of his heart, bringing it to the top of European and world football. He has done a lot for the game of football in general and we must be grateful to him. He always remained close to Milan even when he was no longer president, inquiring with Mister Pioli and the staff. He is a true fan of the game of football, always present until the end.”
On the eve of the European championships and the Copa America, Dida did not shy away from making a prediction on the two competitions: “Italy is in a difficult group, but if they overcome it they will be able to grow and do well. Germany will certainly give their all when playing at home. For the Copa America, ahead of everyone are Argentina, world champions and also my Brazil which has had difficulties recently, but with a new coach they can do well.”
Dida will be the protagonist at the Fantini Club in Cervia on 16 June, in the Five Padel Cup, next to him in the Gold and Platinum tournaments: his compatriot Serginho then Massimo Agostini, Biribanti, Ceccarelli, Coldebella, Eranio, Ganz, Marcolin, Panucci, Francesca Schiavone, Zaccardo.
