A fire of vast dimensions has developed on Camaldoli hill to Naples, in the Soccavo area. From the fire, which devoured the thick vegetation of the area, a large column of smoke visible from a distance. Firefighters are in action to contain the fire, which has reached some houses.

The big one fire it broke out in the early afternoon today, Wednesday 19 June, a Napleson the Camaldoli hill.

The alarm was raised immediately by residents in the area and the police intervened on site fire fighters with numerous men and vehicles trying to limit and contain the fire.

The presence of electric cables on the hill which makes it difficult for helicopters and Canadair to intervene.
To avoid problems with the electricity cables, the energy manager, Terna, was asked to disconnect the cables before the intervention of the aircraft.
Houses threatened by flames
Fueled by the wind, the fire that is devastating the Camaldoli hill has approached the base of the hill, touching some homes in the Soccavo area and causing alarm among residents.
Still to be clarified causes of the fire, but malicious origin is suspected.
