On Monday 1 July 2024, at 11:00, at the headquarters of the Italian Society of Diabetology (Sid) in Rome, a joint press conference organized by the Italian Society of Diabetology (Sid) and the Association of Diabetologists (AMD) will be held. The meeting, moderated by the journalist Elisabetta Gramolini, will see the participation of figures from the diabetes sector and regional institutions to present the new prescriptive lines for blood sugar monitoring in the Lazio Region. The new provisions will aim to improve the management of type 1 and 2 diabetes, ensuring more efficient access to monitoring devices and assistance closer to patients.

Regional prescription lines in Lazio
During the conference, Raffaella Buzzetti, president-elect of SID, and Riccardo Candido, president of AMD, will illustrate in detail the changes that will be made to the prescriptive lines for blood sugar monitoring devices. Nicola Napoli, president of Sid Lazio, and Vincenzo Fiore, president of AMD Lazio, will underline the salient points of the prescriptive lines for the quality of life of people with diabetes in the region. Marzia Mensurati, manager of the drugs and devices area of the Lazio Region, will highlight the institutions’ commitment to guaranteeing adequate and accessible assistance to all patients. Lina Delle Monache, representative of Federdiabete Lazio, the point of view of patient associations for initiatives aimed at improving the management of the disease.
