Dying at just 20 years of age from cancer. Mourning in the team of “Summer Live”. The conductors Nunzia De Girolamo and Gianluca Semprini they made a sad announcement at the end of last Friday’s episode. “In this last minute allow us to say something that is not easy. It was a very difficult episode for usfor the whole team of Summer Live. This was a dramatic day.”
Then De Girolamo, moved, explained: “It was a bad day because Elena Martelli’s young son left us. Precisely on this day I have to say that for us, for the whole team, it was very hard. So we wanted to thank the whole team, but above all we want to send a big hug to Elena and her husband Gianluca”. The 20-year-old also worked as a model and, after some checks, he discovered in 2022 that he had Ewing’s sarcoma in his left leg.
Bernardo explained his illness step by step on social media. “This tumor, Ewing’s sarcoma, was diagnosed two years ago, in 2022,” the boy explained, “localized in my left leg, with excruciating pain that got worse, until my leg died, and I found it. I did all the chemotherapy in the protocol, preliminary to the operation, but shortly before I was operated on, I became metastatic, and therefore they had to change the therapy; it’s as if the disease became chronic, and simply had to be kept at bay.” Then the chemo treatments and the long journey to face the disease until, unfortunately, the tragic epilogue.
