Pace Antonino, real estate agent from Bagheriaaccused of the crime of mistreatment towards his ex-wife, was acquitted at the end of a trial celebrated in the form of the ordinary rite and which lasted over 4 years.

However, the defense proved that although the victim was able to testify, her story was not reliable due to the hatred shown towards her ex-husband, also through the production of screenshots of WhatsApp messages containing the promise to “make it end in her husband is sent to prison.”

The defense also demonstrated the generic nature of the victim’s story, who despite having complained of several episodes of aggression over the course of 15 years of marriage, had not been able to produce either a hospital report or a complaint to the police nor to indicate witnesses who had heard or witnessed the facts, however contradicting themselves during his witness examination.
