BCC Leasing, the BCC Iccrea Group company specializing in leasing operations has completed a financing of 12.9 million euros for the design, construction and maintenance (ordinary and extraordinary) e management of the new swimming facility in the Municipality of Legnano for 20 years.
The operation in synergy with BCC Busto Garolfo and Buguggiate and in a Temporary Business Association with Techne SpA and A&T Europe SpA (builders) e P&G Srl. (manager) benefited from PNRR funds for a further 2.5 million euros.
It is therefore an initiative that exploits the synergy between the PNRR contribution obtained from the Municipality and the financial leasing of public works in order to create – by 2026 – a facility not only for the Legnano sports associations, but also for the local communities which will be able to return to having a point of reference for the discipline of swimming and for recreational activities.
A new swimming pool for Legnano by 2026: here is the project
“We are satisfied with the conclusion of this operation which, through the instrument of the public-private partnership – comments Enrico Giancoli, General Director of BCC Leasing -: has allowed us to guarantee the municipality certainty on the times, costs and professionalism of the various actors involved. In fact, through this initiative we support economic planning and territorial planning, thanks to an overall vision of the interventions intended to reactivate the local economy, combat urban degradation and guarantee a service to the community”.
«For us it is a source of great satisfaction to have identified in the public/private partnership the instrument that has opened the way to the solution of a long-standing problem for Legnano – underlines Lorenzo Radice, Mayor of the Municipality of Legnano -, he commented:, like that of the swimming facility. If, in fact, the insufficiency of the old system has been talked about for about fifteen years, it was at the end of 2019, following the collapse of a glass window, that the Legnano swimming pool entered a difficult phase, which became further complicated in the following years to the point of make it necessary not to renovate the existing one, but to create a new one. And it is thanks to the contribution of the members of the temporary business grouping, including BCC Leasing, that Legnano will finally be able to have, from 2026, a structure worthy of its swimming tradition and in line with the increasingly complex usage needs expressed by users”.
«We are on the eve of a historic moment in its own way for Legnano sport: the start of work on the new facility represents not only a fundamental turning point to give sports clubs and citizens an adequate structure, but will also allow us not to interrupt the swimming pool activities, as we have managed to do in recent years while facing considerable structural difficulties. At the end of this intervention – adds the Sports Councilor of the Municipality of Legnano Guido Bragato -: we will be able to count on a structure that will be a reference for sports practice and free swimming not only for our city but for the territory; a qualitative leap also made possible by BCC Leasing, which I thank.”
The intention of the Municipality is then to set aside the amount necessary to pay off the leasing from year to year and not burden the municipal coffers.
