Shock attack in a surveyor’s office: pushing the professional, a sixty-four year old who ends up in hospital, and an office half destroyed by an enraged customer. The episode occurred late yesterday morning, in the office of a surveyor located in Potenza Picena.
According to an initial reconstruction of what happened, it all began with a phone call between the surveyor and one of his clients, a man in his sixties who lives in Porto Potenza. An animated phone call, linked to technical questions regarding renovation work for the customer’s home. The conversation escalated into a heated argument. Shortly afterwards, the customer appeared at the door of the surveyor’s office, accompanied by an acquaintance of his who also lives in the same building where the work was underway. The situation was already quite agitated, due to the phone call just before. And from words the sixty-year-old from Porto Potenza would have moved on to actions, suddenly attacking the surveyor. First, loud words and screams flew, in an already incandescent climate, then the man lost control and raised his hands on the surveyor, hitting and pushing him and also sending him crashing, with all his weight, against a glass cabinet which was in the studio. He threw away various furnishings and papers and also damaged the computers that were placed on the desk of the professional’s office. They were moments of great tension.
The man who was with him, the same age as the attacker and his neighbor, somehow tried to calm his acquaintance’s fury, but in vain. In the end, the intervention of 118 and the Carabinieri was requested. A Green Cross ambulance immediately arrived on site and medical and healthcare personnel immediately assisted the surveyor. In the meantime, the police also arrived and brought the chaotic situation back to normal. The sixty-four-year-old surveyor, following the attack by his client, suffered some injuries and abrasions to his knees: fortunately, however, nothing particularly serious. But, certainly, very scary. The surveyor, after the first medications done on site, was loaded aboard an ambulance and taken to the emergency room of the Civitanova Alta hospital for checks.
The Carabinieri are working on the episode that occurred in the professional’s studio in Potenza Picena, having intervened on site together with the rescuers immediately after the report was raised.
